Geocache Description:

This is a simple cache placed within the Park to coincide with the nearby Geocaching  Event on 28th August 2021.

The park is Edwardian and was opened in 1895 to provide the people of Maldon with a green space.  The original park lodge has been converted into Maldon Museum.  Maldon Marine Lake was created in 1905, and greatly added to the attraction of the area as a location for outdoor swimming. In 2002 the swimming area was converted into an ornamental lake with fountains.

In addition, the park has an amphi-theatre, a splash park, a children’s play area, a lake for model boating, and riverside walks.  More recently, beach huts have been added to the park.

There is access from the park to the Hythe where the Thames Barges are moored.

You are looking for a camouflaged speciman tube.  Please bring your own pen.    Please sign the logsheet if you don't your logging entry may be deleted!
