This is Team HollyHamster's first hide, so please be kind. Team HollyHamster are grandparents having fun with their grandkids & cocker spaniels. This is the first of some geocaches planned for the Pen Pych Mountain area, voted in the Sunday Times as one of Britain's Top 100 places to have a picnic. The area is nicknamed "Little Switzerland" and you will see why when you visit.
This beautiful scenic area, full of forests, mountains, streams and waterfalls, is almost unknown to tourists. There's a handy car park at the bottom of the Pen Pych trail, and the cache is hidden two thirds of the way up the gravel track that leads to spectacular waterfalls.
There's little swaps inside the cache, mostly aimed at children. If you take something, please be nice and leave something that will appeal to younger geocachers.
