I was paddeling out on the lake yesterday as it started to rain and was thinking about this spot that use to have a cache in it. So today, I came back did some maintance on another cache and walked over and hid this one all the while testing out my new orthotic in my left shoe as we plan to hike to Coffin Mounatin on Friday...(the orthotic was not good and I went back to the old one about 1/2 mile more down the trail!)
No longer wheelchair accessable!
Since the original archived cache was placed, the trees have been cut back and what was a rock wall shortened. The cache is located near the rockery..but NOT IN the rockery! It is near a natural pond, close to a tree and no longer wheelchair accessable!
You are looking for a medium size bison tube with nothing but a log inside. The aluminum bison tube sweats in the rain, so I have put a rite in the rain log inside. You will be able to sign the log even if it is wet!
Sit down, take a load off and enjoy your surroundings. There are 4 benches for you to rest on while contimplating which way to go next. This cache is on the Lacamas Heritage trail and close to a trailhead.
The park and the trail are open dawn to dusk so please only cach during the daylight hours.
Please follow these simple guidelines when looking for the chahe:
BYOP - Bring Your Own Pen - putting a pen or pencil in a cahe tends to punch holes in the baggies and the logs get wet
Sign the log sheet - Claims without signatures will be deleted (sorry)
Carefully open the container/baggie, completely seal baggie with log inside and tightly close container to keep the moisture out
Replace cache out of plain view to same location in description/hint
If you do not like the posted coords then post your own or drop me a line; but do not move the cache to a new location.
Happy Caching!
