** Final is not at posted coordinates or in the National Wildlife Refuge **

While exploring the New Albin area, I came across this hidden gem. In order to get here, you will need to take a drive down Army Road. It is a scenic gravel road through the heart of the Upper Mississippi National Wildlife Refuge. I recommend taking your time, you won't regret it.
Once you get to the end of the road, there are two signs you need to locate in order to find the coordinates to the final. At the posted coordinates, you will need to find the main information board as well as the small blue fire number sign.
The final cache container is located at:
N 43° 29.ABC W 091° 17.XYZ
- A = second number in the four-digit fire number (blue sign)
- B = fourth number of the four-digit fire number minus the third number
- C = according to the map of the Wildlife Refuge on the big informational sign - what number Lock & Dam is displayed on the sign? (one digit)
- X = according to the sign labeled "A River Refuge" on the big informational sign - how many acres does the refuge cover? (first digit only)
- Y = according to the sign labeled "A River Refuge" on the big informational sign - how many acres does the refuge cover? (third digit only)
- Z = look at the very top of the map of the Wildlife Refuge on the big informational sign - when does voluntary avoidance of the Wisconsin Islands Closed Area start? (second digit of the date only)
The final should be just under 2 miles away. Parking is available very close. It is a camouflage bucket. There is no need to search near the railroad tracks - the cache is not there. Good luck and have fun!
