At the posted coordinates, you will find a monument denoting the former Gnarming School site as a memory to the former teachers and pupils. The school opened and closed twice. Below the main plaque, is a second plaque saying the main plaque was unveiled by Jack Carmody.
After doing some research on Trove, we come across an article titled Gnarming Notes from the Great Southern Leader (20 July 1923]. The article detailedI the school colours were maroon and gold and rabbit proof netting gave rise to good crops.
