This Cache
This cache IS at the posted coordinates. The log is behind a locked door.
To get the combination, you'll need to work a little! In front of you is a game board. Attached to the back is a container that holds some "blueberries" (Please do NOT eat the blueberries!!). The top of the geocache puzzle container opens, and you can drop the blueberries in!!
If you choose the right path, the combination will be revealed! Note that it may take multiple attempts to reveal all of the numbers in the combination!
Please be sure to replace the blueberries and close the lid on the top when you are complete!
About the Jackson County Agritourism Geo-Trail

The Jackson County Agritourism Geo-Trail (established 2021) is a fun trail taking you to Agritourism sites around Jackson County. Each site will highlight an agritourism feature!
The trail consists of 14 unique "gadget" caches.
Before you start, print a copy of the JCAT Passport (Link), or pick up a copy at one of the following locations:
| Site Name |
Address |
| Crawford Long Museum |
28 College St, Jefferson, GA 30549 |
| Braselton Downtown Development Authority |
9924 Davis St #8, Braselton, GA 30517 |
| Jackson County Chamber of Commerce |
270 Athens St, Jefferson, GA 30549 |
| Historic Courthouse of Jackson County |
85 Washington St, Jefferson, GA 30549 |
At each of the 14 stops, you will find a unique gadget cache. These caches will all be super-easy to find but will require you to solve some sort of "puzzle" to sign the logbook.
Each cache in the series is numbered (JCAT-01, for example). After you sign the log for each cache, you will find a stamp and inkpad inside the cache. Find the spot on your passport that corresponds to the stop number and stamp the passport. When you find all 14 caches and complete the passport, you can trade it in for a free trackable tag (while quantities last)! Additionally, you will have the opportunity to purchase a deluxe trackable coin.
You can turn in your completed passport at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce (See address above). The Chamber is normally open M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours are subject to change. Check with the Chamber before heading out. For the kickoff weekend, there will be additional places to pick up tags. See event communications for more details...
Note that there is no charge to get a passport, visit any of the cache sites, log any of the caches, or collect your trackable tag!
Featured Agricultural Item
On each cache page, we highlight one agricultural component. For this cache, the featured item is blueberries!
Georgia soil is sandy and acidic - ideal for blueberries!!
Blueberries are the number one fruit produced in Georgia! There are estimated to be more than 18,000 acres producing more than 39 million pounds of blueberries!! Rabbiteye blueberries are native to Georgia and make up most of our commercial production. Blueberries are harvested in Georgia from late May through mid-July.
Under good management, blueberry bushes will produce some fruit the second or third year after transplanting. By the sixth year, they will yield as much as two gallons each. The yield will continue to increase for several years as the plants get larger.
Additional Notes (SPOILERS!!)
Some of the gadget caches can be a little tricky. While we want you to enjoy figuring them out, we definitely don’t want you to get stuck, so to make sure you complete the cache, we are giving you some major spoilers here and telling you how to solve the field puzzle. To increase the challenge, avoid reading this section!!
This one is relatively simple.
Find the "blueberries" behind the cache. Drop them in the top and they will work their way down to the bottom. As they pass through the bottom, a door will open, and the numbers will be revealed! Note: you will have to open multiple doors to see the full combination!
