HIDDEN TREASURES
BRING YOUR BINOCULARS
I was visiting with one of the locals and they told me about a cross on top of Magdalena Peak. They thought perhaps it had fallen down. I couldn’t wait to come back with my binoculars in search of this sight. The cross is still standing on the peak.
From the cache location you can find this hidden treasure, but you’ll need those binoculars. You’ll also have a nice photo opportunity of the “face on the hill”. Shadows will make both, the cross and the face, hard to find as well as this cache.
There is a small area to pull off the side of the road. This is a busy road and the locals don’t drive the speed limit, so be careful exiting your vehicle.
Please replace the cache exactly as found and don’t give away the fun of finding this cache in your post. You will need to bring a writing utensil and possibly a TOTT or two. You may encounter some dirt, tall grass, pokey plants, critters, uneven terrain, mud, snow and muggles.
