This geocache was created by Girl Scout campers of the 2021 Camporee at Camp Nawakwa. Camp Nawakwa has hosted hundreds of Girl Scout campers for over 85 years and joyfully reconvened for camp in 2021. Girl Scouts is a volunteer organization and focuses on girl-led activities. As such, the naming and story behind this geocache was written by the girls who wish you safe travels on the Ice Age Trail!
Butter the guinea pig lived in a small northern WI town. He lived with the BTS household. He was give his name because he ate 1/2 pound of butter. Once when BTS went on tour they had to leave Butter home. They missed him so much! When they got home, they found that Butter was taken so they wrote a song in tribute. Due to popularity, it reached #1 on the charts. Butter heard about the song on the radio and hitchhiked his way back to BTS. BTS was overjoyed to see Butter once again. Butter became the most famous guinea pig EVER!
