This cache is located on the border of State Land and the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.
This adventure will take you through some great wildlife observation areas (be sure to bring your binoculars) and to an interesting area along the Barge Canal. The wooded areas, grasslands, and wetland habitat are managed areas which provide a healthy, self-sustaining population of many wildlife species including mammals, resident birds (including the bald eagle), reptiles, amphibians, and insects which are native to Central New York.
