The treeless, rolling downs of south-western Queensland nearly always have some grass cover, usually Mitchell Grass. There are also thorny grasses and bushes.
There are also several invasive species you may come across while traveling along Humeburn Road. If you see any of these plants, please take Coordinates and report to Biosecurity Queensland on 13 25 23, within 24 hours. Here is one of them:

African Boxthorn is a spiny shrub from South Africa. It is a perennial shrub that can grow up to 5m in height with a deep and extensively-branched root system. The main stem has spines up to 15cm long. The leaves are bright green, 3cm long and 2cm wide. White to pale mauve flowers about 1.2cm in diameter hang from short stalks. The fruit ripens into a bright orange to red berry.
