This cache is placed on Mountaineers property with permission. Please be mindful that there are private residences nearby and only visit between dawn and dusk. On Summer weekends, there are performances at the nearby outdoor theater (in existence for over 100 years!), so unless attending a performance, please avoid the area between 11 am and 5 pm, on weekends from May to August, as the parking lot will be full and the place will be full of muggles. Otherwise, there is plenty of parking nearby on weekdays in summer and the rest of the year.
There are picnic tables on the property, a small playground, and the parking area is also close to the delightful Big Tree Trail, full of old-growth forest ending at one of the largest Douglas Firs in the area and an easy hike for all ages. Restrooms are only open on weekends in Summer.
Once found, the container is a large paint bucket with a lid that may need to be "uncovered". Please be caring of the natural surroundings of this unique place and return and hide/cover cache when finished logging. The distance to the cache from the start of the trail is less than a 1/4 mile,
