Suška chmele byla postavena v areálu gruntu číslo 4 v Odrlicích okolo roku 1880, přesné datum výstavby není známo.
Jde o významnou stavbu z nepálených cihel, určenou právě jen k sušení chmele. Existence jiné dochované sušárny chmele z nepálených cihel v ČR není známa. Má tři nadzemní podlaží a dnes tvoří celek s částí bývalé stodoly, jejíž převážná část po zásahu bleskem v 60. letech 20. století shořela. Při pohledu z venku jsou charakteristické úzké větrací otvory.
V roce 1981 byla zapsána do státního seznamu nemovitých kulturních památek.
Současným vlastníkem nemovitosti je Hanácká aktivní společnost, z.s. Tento spolek od roku 2011 postupně sušku chmele opravuje. Uvnitř objektu vzniká muzeum chmelařství a pivovarnictví a jsou zde vystaveny předměty užívané na vesnici v 19. a 20. století.

This hop dryer was built in the area of farm number 4 in Odrlice around 1880, however, the exact construction date is unknown.
It is an exceptional building made of unfired bricks, used only for hop drying. The existence of another preserved hop dryer made of unfired bricks in the Czech Republic is unknown. It has three floors above ground and is today connected to a part of the former barn, most of which burned down after a lightning strike in the 1960s. When viewed from the outside, narrow ventilation openings are characteristic.
In 1981, it was added to the Czech list of immovable cultural monuments.
The current owner of the property is a local association, which has been gradually repairing the hop dryer since 2011. Inside the building, there is a museum of hop growing and brewing and there are displayed tools and other things used in the village in the 19th and 20th century.
