This is a series of caches placed along the river Avon between Netham Lock in Bristol and Hanham Lock on the upstream side of the river. The river is normaly a quiet tranquil affair, but heavy rain and\or tides do change its characterisitics considerably!
The flow is normaly downstream to Netham, BUT, on spring tides the Avon sends its waters upstream, bridging the weir at Netham and floods upto and past the weir at Hanham lock, and it moves very fast carrying all sorts of 'stuff' with it - you have been warned.
A Licence to use a boat on the River is required
Caches are mostly Preform tubes in camo with the odd Bison tube - all are double potted to help protect the log sheets.
Hints are given on individual cache pages along with which side of the river the cache is on when paddling UPSTREAM - Netham to Hanham
Most of all have fun and stay safe
