Clarries Cache
Take a lovely walk through Kenthurst passing old orange orchards while marvelling at the views of the Blue Mountains.
Clarrie's Cache is dedicated to a long-time councillor of what is now the Hills Shire, Clarence Francis Ellerman. Clarence or "Clarrie" represented the residents of Kenthurst between 1953 - 1980 and lived in the vicinity of the cache at 81 Kenthurst Road. Ellerman Park and adjacent Child Care Centre in Dural are both named after Clarrie.
Those with small geokids, there is a small playground at the nearby Church of the Nazarene; which along with Ellerman Reserve was made available as emergency accommodation to the residents of Kenthurst following the tragic bushfires of 16th October 1991; when sadly two local residents lost their lives.
The cache is a traditional micro container.
