Croydon, this is my town, not from birth, far from it, we moved in to our dream home, our retirement home the day before Christmas Day in 2017. Since then I have discovered more and more to this area that I really love, so I'm here for a long time now, well, I hope so anyway
I am placing a series of cache in and around the area to highlight the parks, walkways and places of interest in this part of Melbourne, I hope you enjoy your visit.
Croydon History
In the early 1920s a Monday market began. The market included live animals, chickens, birds, and other small animals. It was a noted landmark and meeting place for locals from neighbouring suburbs until the site was redeveloped in the 1980s. It closed in 2012.
