This Cache has been placed in Lowther Park, Lytham which is my home town and not far from where I live.
The Cache is a fitting tribute to the late comedian, performer and actor, Bobby Ball who sadly died in 2020 aged 76. This legendary comedian was born in Oldham and in his latter years up until his death, resided in Lytham, not too far from where this cache is located. He also performed at the nearby Lowther Pavillion Theatre over the years.

A super size 'Bobby Ball' statue is now in place very close to where this cache is located. Please pay tribute to Bobby before you leave the park.
Cannon and Ball were an excellent comedy duo and certainly one of my favorite double acts in the 70's/80's. Their rise to fame came following an appearance on 'Opportunity Knocks' in 1972.
Apart from his earlier stand up as a comedy duo with Tommy Cannon, other TV appearances included 'Heartbeat', 'Last of the Summer Wine', 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here', 'Casualty' and 'Strickly Come Dancing ' .
One of his most recent and continued appearances was in the halarious 'Not Going Out' BBC TV sitcom series from 2009 to 2021 starring Lee Mack and Sally Bretton where Bobby plays Frank, Lee Mack's Dad.
Bobby Ball was filming only months before he took ill and very sadly died in Blackpool Victoria Hospital on 28 October 2020 from the Covid19 virus.
Bobby will be sadly missed, he was a lovely, very genuine, warm character. I often saw him out and about in Lytham and was never too busy to stop and chat or have a selfie taken.
The cache is small and not too tricky to find. (Unlike some Slateman Caches!) This is a busy area during the day so please use stealth when recovering and replacing the container. Please ensure it is left in a secure position.
The cache is big enough to stash trackables so I have left a Geocoin and TB in there. Happy Hunting and 'Rock on Tommy'!
