Als kind groeide ik hier op tussen de Wetterse velden. Waar nu de B&B Stuifduinen staat, stond het huis van mijn grootouders. Waar nu de grond in verschillende delen is opgesplitst, was alles toen van mijn grootouders. Helemaal anders van wat je nu ziet. Maar met pattattenveld, groenselhof, duivenkoten, konijnenrennen, enz... Het was nog een echte oude 'lochting'. Uren, dagen, jaren, ... mijn hele jeugd heb ik hier doorgebracht. Het deel waar je de schommel en vijver ziet is het enige deel wat nog aan onze familie toebehoort. 's Zomers kan je ons hier soms aantreffen, terwijl we genieten van de omgeving. Het is mijn allereerste cache die ik hier dan ook geplaatst heb. Vrij simpel, maar gewoon om jullie eens een stukje de velden in te sturen.

As a child, I grew up here among the Wetterse fields. Where B&B Stuifduinen is now, my grandparents' house stood. Where the land is now divided into several parts, everything then belonged to my grandparents. Completely different from what you see now. But with patty field, greensward, pigeon cotes, rabbit runs, etc.... It was still a real old ‘lochting’. Hours, days, years, ... my whole childhood I spent here. The part where you see the swing and pond is the only part that still belongs to our family. In summer, you can sometimes find us here, enjoying the surroundings. It is my very first cache that I placed here. Quite simple, but just to send you out into the fields.
