The Garrison cemetary was formed in the late 1800s in the town of Garrison, IL which was formed by the Garrison family. The town had a post office, a general store, and a blacksmith shop plus the Garrison home. It eventually petered out leaving only a barn across the road, but the cemetary remains and local residents and Garrisons continue to be buried there.
