I was on my way out to the Clear Lake Fire Lookout and discovered that no one has added a cache on the road up. There is one at the top, but nothing along the 2.5 mile trail to the top. This is a great place for solitutde in the summer...lots of trees and almost no one on the trail! In the winter it is a snowbobile pardise!
You are looking for a bison tube zip tied to a rhododendron bush, hopefully not burried in the snow druring the winter. I put it closer to Skyline Road to entise people to at least come this far on the trail and hopefully go the 2.5 miles and 1100 feet elevation gain to the top!
Please follow these simple guidelines when looking for the cache:
BYOP - Bring Your Own Pen - putting a pen or pencil in a cahe tends to punch holes in the baggies and the logs get wet
Several people have said this is 55 feet off, I will be by to chevck it in the next week and correct of necessary!
Sign the log sheet - Claims without signatures will be deleted (sorry)
Carefully open the container with log inside and tightly close container to keep the moisture out
Do not remove the ziptie...just unscrew the bottom from the top
If you do not like the posted coordinates then post your own in the comments or drop me a line; but do not move the cache to a new location.
