The Green Lane takes you on a walk into the history of the linen industry. Donegal's largest linen bleaching works was in Ramelton. Linen was laid out to dry on the bleach greens between the lane and the River Lennon. The small square buildings were the watchmen's posts, The Loom House was built around 1790.
When placing this cache we parked on The Mall, crossed Ramelton Bridge and walked to the trailhead. Take care if crossing the road and don't forget a pen and tweezers.
