The Geocache is situated inside the SAA (South African Airways) Museum Showcase Ground where you will have the opportunity to see 7 very iconic planes of South African history including the Boeing 747 Lebombo. The Lebombo has had the pleasure of carrying ex president Nelson Mandela, as well as famous heart surgeon, Christiaan Barnard.
In order to access the geocache, you will have to enter the museum and the entry fee is R40 for adults and R25 for children but is well worth the visit. We easily spent 3 hours enjoying the guided tour as well as admiring the planes. IMPORTANT: the museum is only open from Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 to 15:30. The museum is closed on Monday.
There is a logbook and pen so don't forget to write your name. Also feel free to draw a picture or write a joke. There are also some trinkets inside. Please bring something to exchange if you want to take something from the geocache.
