Destination Seneca County had partnered with Cachers Anonymous to bring you the 2021 Seneca County Geo Trail (SCGT). This geo trail extended from Fostoria, in the west, to Attica in the east. The 2021 SGCT originally took you to 20 locations to show off beautiful Seneca County.
The Ritz Theater
The year was 1928. Downtown Tiffin had three theaters in operation catering to the public. Original builders Dan Kerwin and Adam Ritzler dreamed of a movie palace grander and more beautiful than anything the area had ever seen. Completed in only nine months, The Ritz Theatre was instantly dubbed “Tiffin’s quarter-million-dollar-movie-palace.” When it opened in December 1928, over 1500 patrons packed the theater to listen to the quality orchestra. The Ritz is the only reminder of an era gone by. Renovated in 1998 to its almost original condition, The Ritz Theatre gives a look back to a time when theaters often stole the show.
