The Laurie Event is meant to honor the geocacher Laurie aka Half-Canadian and Scooter the Wonder Dog as well as Wizard of Ooze the reviewer. Laurie devoted lots of time and energy placing caches and also introduced people to the sport and reviewed cache placement to help keep the game organized and fun for all. This cache is part of a series for this event.
Laurie loved living near the ocean and spent time on the water in boats of all kinds. She loved fishing too. This photo is one she took while out on her boat Just for the Halibut. Every year she would come up with a great pun for her Christmas cards, and then illustrate it in some creative way. Sometimes that involved photos, so this one gives you a little idea of the lengths she'd go to get just the right shot!
