Geocache Description:

The hiding spot for the last cache by this name was removed and the cache archived. This can be considered a "replacement" for the previously missing cache. The puzzle is very similar to the last, but a little different, as well as a slightly different final location as well. Hope you enjoy.

Beginning in 19B5, Samuel P. Colt purchased and consolidated the Chase, Church and Van Wickle farms in Bristol.

A pair of life-size bull statues stand guard at the main entrance gate for Colt State Park on Hope Street. A = the # of letters in the name of the bull that starts with the letter C.

The marble bases which support the bronze bulls are believed to have been modeled after the approach gates to French King Louis XV's château Petit Trianon at Versailles and were unveiled in 1Z13.

In 196Y, the State of Rhode Island purchased Colt Farm, and on August 2C, 1968, the lands were dedicated as Colt State Park by Rhode Island Governor John Chafee.

A statue of Chafee was erected in the park in 200X.
