The cache is situated near RSPB Arthog Bog, an area of conservation and beauty. Our family have been coming here for over 40 years. Our Dad was evacuated to near by Fairbourne as a small boy during the second world war. We recently received permission from the council to place a bench here to commemorate the lives of our lovely parents.
Sit down, have a brew and soak up the view. The cache is small bison tube hanging near by (not on the bench itself). You don't have to enter the Bog to retrieve the cache (though there is a lovely walk you can take, which leads into the Mawddach Trail)
Tweezers may be needed to to remove the log sheet.
There is parking near by ( though be aware that people live in the nearby houses all year round and it can be busy due to the train station, Barmouth bridge and the many walks in the area)
The cache is available all year round, is wheelchair friendly and good for geokids, though you will have to keep an eye on them due to the road.
