Chief Wapuka (Waupaca) was a Potawatomi Indian who lived in the area. His tribe did not like white man coming into the area and settling in. The tribe wanted to massacre the small settlement but Chief Wapuka talked them out of it. This is the resting area for the Chief and his sons Shopodock and Hongkoot.
There's a small grill and picnic table nearby. Stop and have lunch.
If your lucky you might spot the Amish harvesting the hay. You're looking for an Amish horse and buggy. BYOP.
Education FYI - also watch area geo dogs for "log the dog" tags on their collars. Watch area geo mobiles as they too may have a log the mobile tag on it.
