And so it begins ...
This is my first cache hide and first cache series. After over 1200 finds, I decided it was time to give something back to the Geocaching world.
This series is a point to point, challenging 8.5 mile route from Barmouth to Llanaber, taking in spectacular views of both Barmouth and the Mawddach estuary. My husband and I see Barmouth as our second home and we wanted to encourage fellow cachers to some of our favourite spots.
Unfortunately, GPS can play up a little high up the tops and so I have ensured that each cache has a detailed description and it might be best if you download caches 12-16 as you can lose signal up the top at times and they don't load on the app. If you do not want to have too much given away, just stick with cache name and the hint. If you want more information, the descrition will help. I would recommend tweezers (as there are a few micros) and for one of the caches a magnetic extendable tool would be useful, but not necessary.
This first cache is placed next to our favourite place to stay in Barmouth and indicates the route up to the top. After finding this cache, continue up the road (which is the no through road for vehicles) and look out for the signs to Panorama.
You are looking for a silver, magnetic micro.
