GOING BATTY #3
Â
Welcome to my new Bat caches. When I lived in Missouri during the summer of 2003, I worked at Ozark Caverns within Lake of The Ozarks State Park. Ozark Caverns has remained mostly natural as there is no lighting installed in the caves, which makes it a great habitat for bats. I learned quite a bit about bats and wanted to create a few bat puzzle caches: the "Bump In The Night" for Snag The Tag is the perfect time to do it too. Â

Bat Fact #3
Bats Vary In Size
Â
The smallest example of a full-grown bat is called a Kitti’s Hog-nosed Bat. This species is only 29 to 33 mm (1.1 to 1.3 in) in length and weighs 2 g (0.071 oz)! It’s no wonder that it’s also referred to as the “bumblebee bat.” Not only is this creature the smallest bat, but it’s also one of the tiniest mammals in the world!
