Geocache Description:

GOING BATTY #6

Welcome to my new Bat caches.  When I lived in Missouri during the summer of 2003, I worked at Ozark Caverns within Lake of The Ozarks State Park. Ozark Caverns has remained mostly natural as there is no lighting installed in the caves, which makes it a great habitat for bats.  I learned quite a bit about bats and wanted to create a few bat puzzle caches: the "Bump In The Night" for Snag The Tag is the perfect time to do it too.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Bat Fact #6

As the bugs go, so do the bats.

For bats that live in cold weather climates, they either hibernate or migrate south during the winter months.

This is because there are no insects to eat! Some species choose to follow the bugs to warmer climates, while others just take a nice long nap during winter and hibernate!
