Här ligger en plats som heter Svedje. Enligt mina sökningar finns det så mycket som 8 byar med Svedje som officiell namnform här i Jämtland. Namnet tros härstamma ifrån då man använde sig utav svedjebruk, det vill säga man brände ner skog för att kunna använda marken till odling eller bete.
