Geocache Description:

This cache is definitely dedicated to you !!!!

Not only because you stand near the oldest palaeolithic  settlement of the Stone Era all over the Aegean Archipelago, dated from 12.000 BC, inhabited by hunters, gatherers and fishermen, using then, stone tools of an excellent quality!

Not only because you step on the oldest geological sedimentary sequence of this island, consisting of  marls, sandstones, silts and shales dating from the Lutetian (a stage,  in the geologic timescale of the Eocene age, spanning in time between 47.8 and 41.2 Million years ago!

Not only because the gigantic compact wall you may notice diving into the sea and extending more than 1,5 kilometres below the  surface,  is purely natural, a real "belt" - "louri" in Greek language  and habitat to a richest variety of an underwater fauna, deserving your exploration!

But mainly, because you insisted on coming as far as the end to find it! This very distant end which confirms a yet  intact, pure and wild  Nature on this island,  comprising of earth, wind, salt, rabbits and countless fragrant  "St. Mary's"  white sand lilies (Pancratium maritimum).
