There are a lot of folks who work to make geocaching a popular and fun activity for us. From cache hiders, to those who teach geocaching and promote it in nature centers and groups like the scouts, to all the land managers and parks who provide opportunities and unique places to cache, we are given uncountable chances to enoy the fruit of their work.
But the one group of folks who often go unnoticed.....and who deal with both the good, bad and sometimes downright icky stuff are the Volunteer Reviewers of all the Michigan geocaches placed in our massive and beautiful state. These folks work an incredble amount of hours not only to help us follow the rules for the caches placed, but also to help us if we are unclear on a hide or are having a hard time understanding a certain requirement. And they have day jobs....this is a second, sometimes overwhelming amount of work that they provide for all of us yahoos out there placing caches willy nilly by the hundreds!
I simply want to say THANK YOU and express a deep and sincere appreciation for the oft overlooked few who manage all the caches in this entire state.
We have one of the best groups of reviewers in any state. My opinion, though I know many will agree.
Next time you see one, give them an expression of gratitude. They deserve it!!!
The Park manager has granted permission for this and the other caches here in McCourtie.
