Background: Going down the north side of Clinch Mountain on TN-31, I was struck by how much the road's winding resembled a set of stairs. Then I thought of the bluegrass standard "Clinch Mountain Backstep," written and popularized by Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, and figured that was as good a name as any for this cache.
