This cache was originally hidden for the 20+ Years of Geocaching Celebration & GeoPoker Run event and was placed with permission from Punderson State Park.
This cache is a two-stage multi hidden along the Beach Trail. In recent years the entire length of the Beach Trail has been resurfaced, to turn it from a dark muddy path into the very pleasant trail you see today.
Many of the trees along the shoreline have been removed as well, affording a great view of Lake Punderson as you travel from one end to the other. Although I can't recall ever seeing a sailboat on the lake, you may just be able to imagine yourself sailing away on the clear and bright cool water as you make your trek to the cache. If you find both stages of this multi-cache, along with the corresponding Joker micro, you will end up very close to the beach area.
The first stage is a small metal tag and the final cache is a regular size lock & lock container. You will need to climb the hillside for a short distance at each stage, but you should be able to find a fairly easy route at both locations.
Don't forget to check the inside of the cache lid for the coordinates to the Joker Micro cache (GC9GG0Y)!
Punderson State Park is open to the public from 6 am to 11 pm. While caching after dark is allowed, please be sure to exit Punderson by 11 pm when the park closes.
