Geocache Description:

As the morning of January 29, 1829, broke on the shores of the Shiretown of Guysborough, the frozen corpse of Dr. Henry Inch was found on Water Street, “run through with a sword.”  Over the next year, two members of a prominent Guysborough family were taken to trial on three separate occasions.  No charges were ever laid.  An official statement made by one of the chief justices overseeing the third trial concluded that Dr. Inch “died from a visitation from God.”  What a cruel visitation it was, slain with a cavalry sabre, and his slayers were never brought to justice.  Dr. Inch was laid to rest in a forgotten plot in the Christ Church Cemetery in Guysborough.  It is rumored that for almost 200 years, his ghost has travelled the county, searching for those who took the good doctor’s life.  Will you dare to meet Dr. Inch tonight?

About the cache:  The cache is not found at the posted coordinates.  This is the parking location and the starting place for your journey to find Dr. Inch.  Bring a good quality flashlight, and a friend.  Follow the fire tacks along the trail.  Eventually you'll be instructed to turn left.  This will be obvious.  Watch your step, as you'll be walking into the open hardwood.  When you find three tacks together, Dr. Inch is very nearby.  We would suggest you use a GPS to mark your journey because there's no guarantee the tacks will take you back to your car.  We certainly wouldn't want Dr. Inch to mistake you for his murderers!
