This cache is hidden on Pennsylvania State Gamelands. Please follow all Gamelands rules when seeking this cache, and wear orange as appropriate. It is not recommended to search for this cache during busy hunting seasons.
The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, but it is within 500 feet. This cache should be a simple multi, and in order to keep this as a 1 difficulty, there is a spoiler photo included. The difficulty has been increased as of 10/11/2023 due to feedback from finders. The spoiler photo remains. The terrain rating could vary greatly depending on your approach. Our route took us through some swampy areas and required some creek crossings as well as traversing some hills as we hid this while seeking out some other caches. If you stick to the gamelands trail (which begins across the street from the provided parking coordinates) until you get due south of the posted coordinates, the terrain should be easier.
While we were in the area working on the heart series, we spotted some unique trees not too far from one another while cutting through the woods and decided to hide a cache to highlight these trees that demonstrate the wonders of nature. The posted coordinates take you to within 50 feet of the first unique trees, which are pictured below:
Once you find this tree, you can find the coordinates to the cache by projecting a waypoint 444 feet away at a bearing of 300º. The tree containing the cache is an elbow tree and is shown here: SPOILER PHOTO. The cache is located in the hole at the base of this tree covered with some sticks. In the spoiler photo, that would on the left side of the tree. Please be sure the cache and hole are covered to keep the cache from rolling away. Since this is a 1 difficulty, you are more than welcome to post photos of the hide if you so desire. Happy caching!
