Well I had just been out here not too long ago maintaining a cache that was unfound and presumed missing. It was there! Moving forward the cacher said he left a new container until I could get out and check on it which was appreciated, however I didn't notice it as I was more focused on whether my original was there or not and was rushing so didn't look very hard. Fast forward to about a week later and Tropical storm Ida came and hit parts of CT with up to 6 inches of rain in areas, causing some major flooding issues. Well now its about 3 weeks later and a nice day called for me to go paddle, so I decided this was a good spot and I would check everything and look for the extra container here. Well low and behold I got to the hidiing spot and there was NO SIGN OF THE ROOT AND TREE that the original hide was on! I looked all around the area - nothing! Come to find out it had been moved a TREMENDOUS distance away and I had paddled right past it not realizing it!!! I did notice heading in that another hide had been compromised but didn't put 1 + 1 together until I figured out IDA had moved both of them!! So this replaces Root Skeleton, and if you had already found it you may remember what it looked like and be as shocked as I was as to the power of water and where it is now! In the meantime I replaced it with this hide in hopefully a more secure spot!
