The Chidlow Skatepark opened in December 2021, as a result of a group of nine local youths successfully putting forward a motion at a 2018 elector's meeting to build a facility in the town. The skate park was built at a cost of $450,000 and designed in consultation with local residents. It boasts a half bowl, moguls, stairs, ramps and kerbs.
Cacher SpiderJockey 07 was one of the first to try out the new park and declared it "a very smooth ride with lots of variety".
I wanted to place a cache near the park but as there are already a good number of hides in the area, we've instead put a container near the Old Northam Road turnoff which you will pass on your way to the park. The container was a prize won at the recent Christmas By The River IV event, donated by M4YB and Megawatt60, and contains a logbook, pencil and some swaps.
