Are there fairies living in Texas? We like to think so! And maybe a gnome or two as well. We were inspired to make this Fairy Village after visiting the Fairy Garden Trails at Dogwood Park in Palestine, TX. That event runs each year around March-April when the Dogwoods bloom and is worth checking out if you're in the area.
IMPORTANT CACHE UPDATE INFO: THERE IS A NEW COMBINATION LOCK. THE COMBINATION IS THREE NUMBERS. FIGURE OUT THIS EXTREMELY SIMPLE RIDDLE TO OBTAIN THE COMBO:
A FAIRY USES _ OF THESE TO FLY
THERE ARE _ LETTERS IN THE WORD FAIRY
ADD THE FIRST AND SECOND NUMBERS TOGETHER TO GET _
Cache features:
This is a geocache/letterbox hybrid and features a hand-carved stamp (it's only my third attempt, so please be kind ;) !), ink pad and logbook to stamp/sign. STAMP AND PAD ARE NOT TRADEABLES AND STAY WITH THE CACHE. If you don't have your own stamp, please draw a little something or even leave a sticker when signing the logbook.
You'll also find the beginnings of a storybook. If you are so inclined, we'd love for you to add a sentence or two, paragraph, page or more to the story and leave it for the next person to add their creativity. I will type up the story periodically and post it in mainenance logs if anyone is curious to see the direction it goes. Please keep it family friendly!! ;)
The storybook is not the logbook. You can participate in one or more aspects of this cache, depending on your time and preferences. Special thanks to my Uncle Fred in West Virginia for making the "Fairy House" and shipping it to me!!
Thank you and we hope you enjoy!
