This is a redux of my Who am I? (GC243ZZ) cache that fell prey to the Forest Grove Chainsaw Massacre in 2011. If you've solved that one, this should be easy for you.
Who am I? You must find out in order to find the cache. All I know is that my name is 70 69 67 77 69 64 67 65 6F 6E.
In order to find the cache you will need to answer 8 questions about me and do some math in order to obtain the final coordinates.
Here's some pointers to assist you on your 8 questions:
Sum is the total by addition of a group of numbers (sum of 25, 30, and 15 is 70)
Checksum is the sum of the numbers reduced to a single digit (checksum of 25, 30 and 15 is 7)
Character Value is the ordinal position of a character in the alphabet (character value of G is 7)
The Sum of the Character Values of the word Dog is 26 (4+15+7)
The Checksum of the Character Values of the word Dog is 8 (4+15+7=26 2+6=8)
1. What is the character Value of the First Letter of the Last Name of my Owner? Let that number = A
2. What is the Sum of the Character Values of my Name? Let that number = B
3. What is the difference between the Character Values of the 9th and 8th letters of my name. Let that number = C
4. What is the Character Value of the Second Letter of the name of the School my Owner attends? Let that number = D
5. What is the Sum of all of the Character Values of the letters in my name? Take that number, subtract 4, then divide that by 3, and let that number = E
6. What is the Total Number of Letters in the name of the pet that I replaced? Let that number = F
7. What is the Total Number of Letters in Both the First and Last Name of the Person who gave me to my current Owner? Let that number = G
8. How many letters are in the type of animal I am? Let that number = H
The Sum of answers A through H is 214 and the Checksum is 43.
Now it's time to do some math. The final coordinates for the cache are N45 QR.STU W123 VW.XYZ
QR = (A + C + F)
S = (G * D) / (E - 2)
T = F / 2
U = H
VW = (E - A - 1)
X = B - (E * 3) - H - 1
Y = C - H
Z = (A + C) / G
You will be looking for a cache that resembles me which has a Talenti container in the bottom.
Upped the terrain to a 3.5 due to the last 10' which is steep with loose dirt.
