The Range Estate was developed when the Croydon Golf Links was sold to developers Australand.
This is why you will find many old trees as you wander around the estate, you may also find a good many golf balls as well.
After almost 80 years in the Croydon, the Croydon Golf Club used the proceeds and moved to Yering and is now the Yering Meadows Golf Club where they now have a state of the art 27 hole golf course.
