Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden near the bell tower of Vilnius Cathedral. You must have a pen. Good luck!

A beautiful panorama opens up from the bell tower, one of the oldest and highest towers of the old town.

This tower is 57 meters high. Currently, there are 27 cellars in the dungeons of the cathedral. Some are grouped by several: you can go from one basement to another.

Some sources mention that in the past, a holy fire burned on the site of the cathedral, there was a pagan altar (Janas Dlugošas), or even a pagan temple to the thunder god Thunder (Motiejs Strijkovskis).

Belfry - a structure with a bell on top. Bell towers are built next to churches. They can contain from 1 to several dozen different bells. Some belfries are equipped with a carillon. The most famous bell tower is the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The most famous in Lithuania is the Vilnius Cathedral bell tower.
