The Gogyo River, also called the Gongyo River, has its source near Nagakubo in the northern part of present-day Sakura City, formerly Ujiie Town. From here, the river passes through Takanezawa Town, Haga Town, Mouka City, and crosses the prefectural border into Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where it joins the Kogai River near Shimodate.
