Geocache Description:

Manton Pit Wood is located just to the south east of Worksop on the restored colliery spoil heaps of the former Manton Colliery. Restored by the County Council in 1997, this large site has a mixture of coniferous and native broadleaf woodland and emerging lowland heath. It has a network of surfaced tracks suitable for cycling and walking and has great off road links to the Chesterfield Canal, Clumber Park and National Cycle Route No 6.

This is the 2nd version of Manton Pit Wood caching series as the last was looking tired and needed some serious mantinance. The paths are nice for walking on in any weather and the caches are not designed to be too difficult and far from the main path. For parking see #1 Manton Pit Wood

From #5 to this cache, it ia a little fearther along the path on the right hand side.

Please recover well.
