About one year ago, the name of this park was changed from The Emmitsburg Community Park, to the E. Eugene Myers Memorial Park. His life-long devotion to his hometown did not go unnoticed. We only learned about this park's existence this year, and after reading about Mr. Myers's accomplishments and volunteerism, we felt that it was very worthy of a cache.
The cache is easy to access. There may be muggles, depending on the season and time of day. There's a fantastic playground and pavilion, if you find yourselves in need of a break. There's also a dog park in the back, if your pup needs their own break. :)
