「浮野の里」（うきやのさと）の周辺には、屋敷林や田堀やくぬぎ並木などの田園風景が残っており、今でも武蔵野の昔ながらの田園風景を見ることが出来ます。
「浮野の里」は平成7年度に全国の「水の郷」百選に認定され、平成19年度には埼玉県から「緑のトラスト保全第10号地」に指定されています。
また、浮野の里には、約1,000平方メートルの広さのノウルシの群生地があり、4月上旬には鮮やかな黄色に色づきます。ノウルシはトウダイグサ科の多年草で、絶滅の危険が増しているため埼玉県から絶滅危惧2類に指定されている非常に貴重な植物です。
更に、浮野の里の南側には、この地の由来となった「浮野」と呼ばれる湿原があり、関東平野では殆ど見ることが出来ない高原性植物トキソウが自生し、浮野と共に「加須の浮野とその植物」として埼玉県天然記念物に指定されています。
そして、6月中旬には、地元の人達による「浮野の里・あやめ祭り」が開催され、色鮮やかな花菖蒲や女船頭さんの田舟遊覧などが、訪れる多くの人を和ませてくれます。
The area around "Ukiya-no-Sato" still retains its rural landscape of mansion forests, rice paddies and rows of Kunugi trees, and the traditional rural landscape of Musashino can still be seen. "Ukiya-no-Sato" was recognized as one of the top 100 "Mizu-no-Sato" (water villages) in Japan in 1995 and was designated as "Green Trust Preservation Site No.10" by Saitama Prefecture in 2007. "Ukiya-no-Sato" also has a 1,000-square-meter colony of poison ivy which turns bright yellow in early April. The poison ivy is a perennial plant of the Euphorbiaceae family and is an extremely valuable plant that has been designated as an endangered species by Saitama Prefecture due to its increasing risk of extinction. In addition, there is a marshland called "Ukiya" on the south side of Ukiya-no-Sato, from which this place originated, and Pogonia japonica, which is a plateauing plant and can hardly be seen in the Kanto Plain, grows wild and is designated as a natural monument of Saitama Prefecture together with Ukiya as "Ukiya of Kazo and its plants". In mid-June, the local people hold the "Ayame Festival in Ukiya-no-Sato" where visitors can enjoy the colorful irises and a boat tour by a female boatman.
