GOING  BATTY #30

 

Welcome to my new Bat caches.  When I lived in Missouri during the summer of 2003, I worked at Ozark Caverns within Lake of The Ozarks State Park. Ozark Caverns has remained mostly natural as there is no lighting installed in the caves, which makes it a great habitat for bats.  I learned quite a bit about bats and wanted to create a few bat puzzle caches: the "Bump In The Night" for Snag The Tag is the perfect time to do it too.

Bat Fact #30

 

Most bats are unable to move about on the ground, but vampire bats are an exception – they can walk and run using a bounding gait in which the forelimbs (wings) are used instead of the hind limbs to propel them forward.
