Have you ever imagined when you were a child what roamed the forest floor when you weren't looking? The world down under, where the mice, squirrels and birds scurry about collecting nuts and seeds for the upcoming winter. This cache takes you up (or down, depending on where you decide to start!) Kensington Trail. This trail meanders along Marble Hill Creek and is beautiful to enjoy at any time of year. Right now, the woodcutter is busy preparing for the changing season of fall and soon, winter. He is happy to share his cache with you! He kindly asks that you only trade from what is from inside his stone-walled cache, and not from his surrounding workplace.
A fun, quick find to relive your childhood while listening to the sounds of the gurggling creek, chirping birds and wind rustling through the trees. It's a short 5-10 minute walk if you park at the bottom of old Marble Hill Road, or a steep descent if you begin at the top in Elk Creek Estates by Kensington Park. Feel free to share what critters you spotted on your walk!
