Geocache Description:

GOING  BATTY #39

Welcome to my new Bat caches.  When I lived in Missouri during the summer of 2003, I worked at Ozark Caverns within Lake of The Ozarks State Park. Ozark Caverns has remained mostly natural as there is no lighting installed in the caves, which makes it a great habitat for bats.  I learned quite a bit about bats and wanted to create a few bat puzzle caches: the "Bump In The Night" for Snag The Tag is the perfect time to do it too.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Bat Fact #39

Many creatures eat bats.

Bats are preyed upon by a wide variety of animals, including owls, hawks, eagles, snakes, weasels, and raccoons.

Even house cats get in on the action. These domesticated felines will locate a roost and snag them as they leave at night to hunt. The saddest part is that many cats just kill because they are driven by instinct, with no need to eat or feed.
