La storia della fabbrica ha inizio intorno al 1858, quando venne edificata per sfruttare il Rio di Lupeta (adiacente all'appezzamento di terreno), in quel periodo la struttura fu utilizzata come frantoio; dopo qualche anno fu costruito anche un mulino per incrementare il lavoro ed i guadagni. Nel 1934, visti gli scarsi profitti, fu venduta ed edificata per la produzione carbonifera. La produzione di carbone fu interrotta durante i primi anni della Seconda Guerra Mondiale e l' insieme di edifici furono adibiti come luogo di raccolta di grano ed olio. Al termine del conflitto la fabbrica fu venduta e vi istituirono un essiccatoio per le sanse di olive, che una volta alleggerite dall'acqua in eccesso venivano trasportate negli oleifici; visto l'elevato costo per il trasporto del materiale l'edificio fu nuovamente convertito in fabbrica di carbone, fino al 1976, anno di chiusura.

The history of the factory began around 1858, when it was built to take advantage of the Rio Lupeta (adjacent appropriate land), at that time the building was used as a mill; after a few years was built a mill to increase the work and earnings. In 1934, given the low profit, it was sold and built for coal production. Coal production was interrupted during the early years of World War II and 'set of buildings were used as a place of gathering of grain and oil. After the war the factory was sold and there instituted a dryer for the olive oil cakes, once relieved from the water surplus were transported in the oil mills; given the high cost of transporting the material, the building was again converted into charcoal factory, until 1976, the year of closure.
